Library

The library in Gurugram Public School contains more than 10,000 books, covering almost all subjects.

Students, teachers and even parents, all may access the Library to enhance their knowledge in every field. It is a very enriching experience to be here. Students visit the library on regular basis.

The Readers Club has been instituted to inculcate and encourage a healthy reading habit among the students .A free access is provided to a variety of books of their caliber and interest in the School Library. In an innovative style, the books are issued to the parents, so that the children can read them under Parental Supervision and guidance. Parents of students of Classes I-XII are welcome to issue 5 books for their wards from the Library on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month between 9:00 a.m-11:00 a.m.

The school library is open to all the bonafide students of the school from 8 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. on all working days. All classes are provided with at least one library period per week. Students have to observe the following rules:

  • One book is issued for a period of one week at a time. Students must carry their library cards when they go to the library.
  • If the books are returned late without a valid reason, the borrowing facility will be withdrawn for 2 weeks. Late fine of Rs. 2/- per day will be charged
  • Books marked, disfigured or damaged, will have to be replaced or paid for, by the borrower. In case the book is lost, the borrower has to pay a penalty charge which is double the cost of the book. Books are issued to Parent on Saturdays except 2nd Sat.
